Music Video First Draft

This is our first draft for our music video, the things we feel went well are the lighting effects for the silhouette and blue wave shots as they are dramatic. This will target our audience as it is different and has a cool aesthetic to suit our genre.

We also feel the experimental shots such as when we used half of the artists' faces on either side of the screen and when we did a back to back shot without their faces in as it suits the feel the song has and adds mystery to the artists. They are also quite different from most types of shots used in music videos which create a dynamic in images.

We also added a reverse effect on some of the clips, such as when the artists are walking and bowling, we plan to continue to use this effect throughout as it suits the tone of the song and genre.

We have used a variety of different locations and plan to film in more as this will create more dynamics in our visuals and so the target will not get bored of the video.

To improve on our video we could add more technical effects to make it more interesting for the audience to watch, such as changing the colour effects and the zoom effect we had planned. We could also do some research into effects that we could use. From this first draft, we still do not have all of the footage so we will film the locations we have not been to yet. To make it more interesting we could also cut our clips to the off-beat of the song in order to have a variety in when our clips are brought into the video. Also to improve, we could come up with some more creative shot types and angles in order to make it unique and more interesting for the viewers to watch.
