Shooting Schedule

This is our shooting schedule so that we plan out when we shoot, what we need and who needs to be there. This will ensure that we are organised and do not forget anything when we go out to film and that the artists have the right costumes at the right locations.

Song Permission

This is an email sent to management in regards to permission for us to use the song "Shark" by Oh Wonder in our music video.

Locations

Skate park:

Bowling alley:

These are the locations that we have decided to film at for our music video and explains why we have decided to use them and the problems that may occur. We have decided on these locations as they suit our genre of indie pop and using three or more is conventional of a music video.

Talent Release Forms

These are the talent release forms signed by our two artists in order to make sure they give consent for the use of their appearances in our video.

Costumes

These are the costumes we will be using in the various locations that we are filming in. This shows how they fit with our star image and the surroundings that they are in.

Props

These are the props we will use in our music video as they relate to our concept idea and the feel of the song. These props will ensure that our music video is accurate to an indie pop genre, adds to the feel of the song and that we have paid close attention to detailto the mise en scene of our shots.

Animatic

We have decided this for our animatic as it follows music video conventions discussed prior. For example:

-3 or more locations - park, skate park, aquarium, cinema, bowling alley, house, drama room, high street, cafe, arcade
-Montage editing
-Close ups/mid shots/long shots
-Artist in the video
-Costumes match location - indie pop costumes, coats and jackets outside, casual shirts inside
-Narrative - girl is remembering memories with boyfriend by visiting places they used to go together
-Editing will cut to the beat - visuals cut in time to the beat of the song and on off-beats to make it a bit different but still looks professional

We did not include the music video convention of dancing/playing instruments as we feel it would not suit our genre of music as it is unusual to see this in an indie pop music video, more so other sub-genres of pop e.g. bubblegum pop

Record Labels

I have explored some possible record labels we could use for our artist and decided which one would be most appropriate on the link below:

Music Video Pitch

Pitch Feedback:

-Split screen experimentation - In response to this, we will experiment with a variety of ways to use split screen for example in other positions other than side by side, like diagonally in order for the video to be creative and different.
-Editing experimentation - In response to this, we will use more creative editing techniques, such as jump cuts, graphic matches, in order for the video to show how she is remembering in the video in a creative way so the overall look and feel will be different to other music videos.
-Mise en scene set up - In response to this, we will set up our locations when we can, to get the personality of our main singer across and to personalise it more so the audience can get a feel of the star image.
